So I'm making my final decision on a new Gpu!

 

Which Gpu would you go with?

 

1. AMD Radeon R9 290X  ( Reference Cooler ) - $230 - $270

 

2. Asus GTX 780 Ti Matrix Platinum Edition - $400

 

3. Sapphire R9 280X Vapor-X  Crossfire - $400 Pair

 

4. Evga GTX 770 2GB SLI ( Reference Cooler ) - $400 Pair

 

5. Nvidia GTX 970 ( Any Aftermarket card ) - $329 - $379

Why isnt there a 290 or 290X in that list, except the AMD one? An aftermarket 290 or 290X would be fine too. Anyways, of those provided.. 970.

970 and get the gigabyte g1 windforce version it has the coolest temps :)

Interesting but no surprise that half of you recommended the GTX 970.

Before I jump in and do the same, what is it you want to run, do you have an SLI motherboard, and would you be looking to go SLI in the future with it?

I mainly want to run games at 1080p @ 60 Fps with Ultra/High Settings. 

 

Yes my motherboard supports both SLI/Crossfire

Get a 970 if you think you're sticking to 1080p and willing to get a second 970 if you want to go 1440p+

 

If you're going to go 1440p+ and don't want to fork out more money on GPUs get the 280x crossfire.

I game on a plasma so I don't plan on it.
