I've mixed purchases from canada and the states as some parts were cheaper here in CA vs the USA. I'm near the border so it's not an issue to mix it up.

I have a few general questions:

1) Are there any potential bottlenecks and/or compatibility issues between the components?

2) Based on expected usage (uncompressed HD video editing, multitasking, gaming), are any of the components in essence "overkill" or require upgrading?

3) Is there any way to reduce costs without sacrificing performance and quality?

4) Is it best to purchase components on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or wait until Boxing Day after Christmas?

5) Based on your personal experience, what other configurations or setups would you recommend?

Appreciate the help I got from the last thread. Hopefully this one works to clear everything up and finalize the process.

Open to all and any opinions.

Thanks!

It will be used for uncompressed video editing, heavy multitasking, and moderate-heavy gaming. With room to upgrade (additional RAM, GPU, and monitors) + OC friendly setup

Well, if you want you could swap i7 for a Xeon and H100i for an kraken x61

That's one nice fan lol.

Is there any reason to switch to the kraken?

+Which Xeon series?

Temps lol, I think it's the best aio right now

Well, I can't tell you that, sorry. But if I rembember correctly you'll lose some gaming horsepower when using Xeons

Well, looks like the kraken is too big to fit into my case  :(

In that instance 4-series i7's seem better haha.

Gaming wise, do you have any recommendation for a high quality monitor that's over 28" and under $400?
