It will only void the warranty if you remove the "Warranty Void If Removed" sticker.

 

 

Not difficult. Just remove some screws, put the backplate on, then screw in the new ones that come with it. 

 

Doesn't void the warranty either. 

Thank you both so much for replying so fast, i will now place my order as i was putting it off because i was scared of bricking the card. I was thinking of the strix instead. Dont suppose you can recommend which one i go for?

Either will be fine, I've heard great things about both of them...

 

It's more about which one will fit in with your colour scheme; the EVGA cooler has blue accents on the cooler whereas the STRIX has some red ones.

I'd go for the EVGA ACX. There's not much difference in price, but EVGA is better for customer service and warranty. 

 

My cards still have their full warranty, and I've put waterblocks on them xD
