So, i have been playing minecraft with a friend for a couple of days now. Our connection was always wobbly and we occasionally lost connection, we always retried and it worked just fine. Just a couple of hours ago i got disconnected and when i tried to reenter i was able to move around but not able to access anything like chests and crafting tables. Someone pls help me solve this problem.

Details:

-I am using hamachi

-I have disabled the windows firewall for home and work networks

-i went to advanced firewall setting and changes the in bound and out bound rules to allow hamachi through

-server is hosted by my friend whose internet is significantly weaker than mine, because he's the one who knows how to create servers

-i know there are many solutions to this problem and a lot of ppl who have it but i tried everything that was not disproven by other forum members

-i tried pinging myself and my friend with hamachi , it timed out

Pls help me, thank you

That's like telling someone to hold their phone differently to get rid of glare. Not catch all. Not always possible.

It is always possible. Unless the router is so crappy that there is no GUI or there is no password at all.

You don't seem to understand. Parents don't always say: "Hey. I'm totally cool with my kids fucking around with stuff I paid for." Period. Full stop.

They asked how to fix the problem. If you need to fix a problem with a tool that you can't get, then you are screwed.

Port forwarding won't solve anything in this scenario.

Side note: I know for a fact. Hi, I'm Jade. I used to moderate the Bukkit Forums. I worked and helped with tons of different network setups and other issues.

I remember you saying that a while back. But latency us usually caused by network issues or internal issues. If he can't up grade his computer or internet plan then fixing the issue that is free could at least narrow down the issue. Hamachi is known for using to many CPU cycles and causes the connection to drop packets. And using LogMeIn is not ideal in the first place. (On mobile, excuse text issues)

/stop server. Restart server. Does that fix anything?

Is it vanilla, Bukkit, Modded?

How much RAM is allocated?

Require your friend to restart his router.

What are your friends computer specs?

What is your friends Internet speed like? https://speedtest.net

Can he possibly port forward.

Is he using some weird permissions plugins that are not configured properly.

And @Jade. Sorry for the pissy mode earlier, I just got done fixing my PS3s WiFi card and was not the mood at all. It was giving me a hell of a time. Shower helped.

I should have asked these questions earlier.
