1. I'm from the netherlands, so, preferbly in euros, but I know how to calculate with dollars, my budget is 1100 euros.

2. this pc is going to be for gaming, and the occasional youtube video and homework, but 99% gaming.

3. at the moment a single 1080p monitor, but when good 4k monitors come in a cheaper price range, I will be one of the first to upgrade.

4. I don't need any peripherals, and I already have a legal copy of windows 7.

5. because my current computer already has a hard time mainting 30 fps on a low in new games.

side note: I'm going to use my current ssd, hdd, and dvd-r station and pci-e network card.

this is the pcpartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/dcVhGX

other side note: I really like to keep a black and red color scheme

.

my questions are: is this a good first build? what parts would you change? is there a better solution for the budget?

the define r4 looks like a nice sleek case, but it will send me over budget. so not really an option.

Fair enough. As I said I don't know anything about the case in the link so I can't comment on it. I am annoyed that the R5 comes out like 2 months after I got the R4 though. >_>

I know that the gtx 970 is a better value, but I rather spend now a lot of money, then spending it in parts, and having 2 gtx970 will still make me go over budget. this bugdet of 1100 must give me a pc that will last around 2 years without upgrading, atleast that's what I'm hoping for.

For 1080p a GTX 970 is fine. You would need 2 x GTX 970/980's if you plan on running a 4K Monitor anyway as a single gpu won't be enough (Unless you enjoy gaming at low FPS).
