RULES:

1. Mainly meant for gaming at 1440p
2. Monitor wasn't included
3. $2600 for build
4. $400 for peripherals
5. It is OK if it goes a little bit over budget
6. It should look decent

Actually Melias has the better futureproof build. 970 only supports 3-way SLI whereas the 980 supports 4-way which means more potential performance. Also 4790k > 4690k for future-proof

I would go for the Razer death adder, but i am unsure of how many people like it, i own the M45, it's an amazing mouse.

Liam! You need to get your shit sorted son! Stick with an I7 4790K to eliminate potential bottlenecks while playing at 1440. The I5 will almost certainly hit it's limit with ultra gaming at 1440.
