5820k overclocking.

I just got my 5820k, I am running it on a EVGA x99 Micro.  No matter what I do, I cant seem to boot into windows with a multiplier higher than 38.  Any help or tips would be great.

what have you tried what is your bclk is xmp being used

Ram is running at 2400 with xmp, Ive tried voltage up to 1.3V and its a no go.  I am not going for any records but i would like to to hit 4.2Ghz if possible. I am using an H105 for cooling, temps are real good.  29-30c idle.

turn off xmp and try again

trow your ram at 2133 stock, and try again

Thanks for the help guys, I am now running at a solid 4.2Ghz.  It was my ram and xmp.  I dont know if it was the strap or not, because i dont see a setting for it on my board.
