970 Price range

So I was thinking and I thought hmmmm <_<  is there an AMD card that has the same performance as an EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0, which I am about to use(or any other 970, they cost about the same), or is there an AMD card for the same price and same performance, since AMD cards are a little cheaper?

Well, the 290/290x is pretty alright, but I'd still go for the GTX 970

a 290x is about the same performance used them both but in games I play like BF4 the 970 is better.

Yeah. Except the 290 is actually quite a bit cheaper and comes with a great game bundle. If you don't mind the heat and power consumption, the R9 290 is a good value.

R9 290X is about equivalent to the GTX 970. If you find one thats cheaper...

I have the EVGA GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0 card and you cannot ask for much more than that, unless you wait for the 8GB version of the GTX 970 being reaeased in december.
