Potential power supply issue

So i woke up at like 4:00 in the morning, im assuming because of some noise. I looked over at my computer and noticed that my xbox controller was flashing every 2-3 seconds. I thought it was odd, so i got up, unplugged it, and went back to sleep. I woke up this morning and went to turn my computer on, and nothing happened. I havent opened it to check it, as i need to go to school in about 10 minutes, but i did plug my controller back in, and it started flashing every few seconds again. Im assuming that means it's getting power every few seconds and then its getting cut off. Any other ideas? I'm gonna open it up and check it when i get home.
