I probably will be going with 2x 970's, but I was just wondering if tri-SLI 970's is worth it. If I'm going to be gaming on a ROG Swift and trying to get as close to 144fps as possible in as many games as I can, should another 970 be on my list of future upgrades? What is the FPS increase when adding another 970 to an already-SLI setup?

If it matters, my CPU is going to be an Intel i7-5820K 6-core and my mobo will be an Asus X99-Deluxe, so running SLI will be x16/x8 and running tri SLI will be x8/x8/x8. If I plan to go tri-SLI, should I get the 5930k so I can do x16/x16/x8?

From what Ive seen, anything above 2 way sli has greatly diminished returns. It's great for bragging rights but is it worth it money wise? I'd say no. If you really want to guarantee maximum fps though, go for it.

x8 and x16 wont really mmake a difference so I'd stick with the 5820k unless you really need the 5930k for rendering and etc.
