Hey i am currently building a new gaming rig and just wanted to know what you guys think of my part selection.

I want to keep case, motherboard and cpu like it is and a Nvidia gpu is preferable, i dont got any price limit but i dont wish to go anything higher than i must.

Nice build. I know many may think the processor is overkill, but TotalBisquet e.g. has a simmillar setup. if you like you can add a 2nd 980 in the future or even adittional 16 ram if needed. this rig will be nice for gaming and edditing now and you can upgrade it in the future.

totalbisquit has the same processor with 2x 980 and there are games where even he can bareally hit 100 fps on his 1440p 144hz monitor

you guys dont get the point i said no price limit... the 5930k and gtx 980 is 100% for the braging rights between me and 2 friends we always want to see who got the best pc...

when it come to running to GPUs in sli my case wont have space left to fit a liquid cpu cooler but i do think about a bigger case and geting dual gtx 980 (again braging rights)

so any ideas for what case i could pick? (want gunmetal or other unique finish on it and for the love of god no square black box....)

oh and as for totalbiscuit well where the heck did you think i got the setup i am just like one of his biggest fans (no realy i have seen all his videos atlest 3 times...)

5930k for gaming? please don't. Go for a 4790k or even just 4690k.

Since you have the money definitely go for the 5820k instead. The difference between the 5930 and 5820 is literally pci lanes. So as long as you are not running 4 way sli you won't notice a difference. Some games are using more cores now....I am bottlenecked by 4670k in bf4 on some maps because after I switched to ultra wide.

well i do see your point but if i want a dual gtx 980 sli setup later the extra pci lanes wil help (2x16 lanes = 32 and well 5820k is limited to 24)

Also get an evga 750w g2. It's better than the RM psu in every way and cheaper too. Dat 10 year warranty

Well if you have money to blow good for you :)

As far as the cases go. I heard that Caselabs are one of the best money can buy. It can be totally custom from color to size.

My modded Air 540 build

Don't trust evga had 3 psu and 2 GPUs from them fail so NEVER EVER again wil i buy anything from evga and where i get my parts they dont got that psu anyway

It's manufactured by superflower. There old power supplies were not that good, there new ones are king.  Just check the johnny guru review of the g2

it was his far cry 4 or acunity review. i rather think far cry 4, he mention the i7 5930k and gtx 980 sli :)

and btw at that price range i would get a dark power pro 10 psu from bequiet. they are the best in germany , i have one psu now myself for 6 years and not a single issue. :)

a friend of mine uses a case with space for water cooling and insulation : "nanoxia deep silence 3" i think...its about 80€ when i remember correctly, he´s happy with it so far..

The EVGA G2 psu are made by Superflower and extremely well reviewed.

Since price is not a significant issue I would suggest some improvements.

The Swiftech H220-X cpu cooler. Excellent performance with very good looks.

An M.2 PCIe ssd. Much better performance than SATA 6Gb/s.

Please, whatever you do get a better psu. You could go with the Seasonic G Series 750. But if you really want to brag go for an 80+ Platinum Seasonic 760.

Well sure, if you want to futureproof and use more lanes.

tnx for the feedback as for the case it is still a BIG BLACK BOX With yellow on the inside so nopp :/

and for the psu well i dont trust evga even if they officaly got the best psu in the world i would not buy their products but i wil cheak if my normal web store got any of the ones you guys suggest and if any is available (want to use them since i get very nice discounts)

now for the cpu cooler well the case is VERY hard to fit a 140mm rad inside so to be safe i went with one made by nzxt them self (so i got a 100% safety it wil fit) so unless you can give me a 100% safety it wil fit i don't wanna risk geting a cooler that don't fit

and well a pci style ssd is on my list but i want a new one that is ser for release in a few months and i plan to use the 850 pro in a build for a friend (he pay for it)

so tnx guys good feedback but i still would like a more full on view point here you know like how does the build all in all look

lol, they basically do have the best power supplies in the world right now. "I don't care if it's the best I don't want the best for cheaper" lol again. But at least get a seasonic the corsair RM really isn't that good, it's okay. Terrible for the price.

noting about wanting cheaper but when i get a 2700 build for around 1600 (its not payed in usd) then you dont say no... and the only demand they set is that i buy all parts from them if you ask me this is a very very good deal... and well i dident say i would not see for a seasonic but i dont like evga.... if the store i use got a seasonic or an other rebranded seasonic sure if it is evga no tnx...

on an other note why would you think i care about price... i could pay (without the store discount) around 60% as much and get a rig 90-95% as good... it shoud very very obvious that i dont need to worry to much about the price (atlest not on cheap stuff like a psu)

and to finish off i was geting a coolermaster v700 for 1099 (price in my currency) but when i could get the corsair rm750 for 1149 with a -30% discount (for the loyalty discount as in normal sale) then you dont say no... they are basicly as good as the same stuff under the shell (both seasonic i think)
