Hey!

So I was just doing some routine stress tests etc, and i decided to try out OCCT.

After 6 minutes, Core 0 of my i5-3570K reached 127 degrees and auto-stopped the test, after being at a solid 50ish all the way through the test, now this is a VERY harsh and immediate spike in the readings so there's no way there could be an increase in temperature that quick? PS None of the other cores acted in this way whatsoever, they were just at around 45 degrees all the way through. It's important to note that my processor runs at stock speed 3.4 and 3.8 boost.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!

Edit: Prime 95 runs for hours!

Try running prime 95 to confirm something is wrong.

Good to check this kinda of thing at stock speed using multiple utilities.

Sorry, forgot to mention that Prime 95 could run for days on my machine...

Well I would think it's OCCT then. I'm not sure how well it works....I've only use it for GPU stress tests...I would think you are ok but hopefully someone more familiar with OCCT could add input on this.

Thanks! Worrying temp spikes are worrying.
