144hz help

so I was wondering what card should  I get to push Payday 2 and CSGo to 144hz beteewn the r9 280x, r9 290, or the gtx 970. Also If it does not run at the refresh rate is that a problem or is it fine.

GTX 970 out of those. What do you mean if it doesn't run at the refresh rate? Like, if it drops below 144FPS?

Any of them will, but I would personally go with the 970.

Between 120FPS and 144FPS, no. Between 60 and 144, yes. The card should have no trouble pushing 120FPS+ though.

It will be more noticeable if it's dropping from 144FPS to 100FPS then going back up. If it's just constantly at 100FPS, it will still look smooth.

Yea, csgo is very easy to run. My Lenovo laptop can push 100fps on csgo and it has intel integrated graphics
