well finally got my lian li case in, taking pictures now and will hopefully update some of them in tomorrow.

 

 

bear in mind this case is very well built, and is thoughtfully done but i am however modding the case for three things:

1. isolate airflow from psu.

2. add in 2 additional 140mm fan mounts.

3.  remove one of the three inch drive bays for more psu room (hx 750)

4. add case handles and extended feet.

5. powdercoating and uv lighting.

6. sound dampening material on all sides of the case.

 

the hardware specs of this computer are:

cpu: amd fx6300

heatsink: noctua nh-l12

gpu: 2 nvidia brand 660ti in sli

mobo: gigabyte 990fx ud3

ram: corsair vengeance lp 1600 mhz

hdd: seagate momentus 500gb drive

odd: LOL none.

case fans: noctua nf-a14 fans (both pwm and flx series).

 

 

 

usually i'm not a fan of noctua fans, as there are competing products in a lower price bracket, but i was given 2 nf-a14's for free, and figured i may as well use the same fans so i can set up profiles more easily. this case does have odd specs (such as no ssd and a 6core cpu) but this is specialized as a lan gaming machine. i have the 8350 and to match the performance of the 6300 vs 8350 in my old case i was about 2C cooler with the 6300 processor; this is crucial for this system because of the lack of space and the positive airflow i'm going for. i don't want this system getting hotter than needed.

 

 

update: airflow has been tested in this case (just for noise). and its reading about 23 db in my studio room. noise threshold in my studio comes in at 16 db so this case is virtually inaudible. this is nice because of it being a lan based system.
