New Mac OSX version announced!

Smashbow

Apple's yearly keynote @ the WWDC ( world wide developers conference) has been a very surprising event. Apart from Announcing iOS 7 and a new line of Macbook air notebooks. They also announced the new OSX. After joking they wanted to go a different way with the lion name and step from the cat races. Craig said it would be called Sea Lion. Too bad. The name is "Maverick" based on the many surfers in California. They made big changes and additions to the OS such as: longer battery life, 72% less cpu activity while idle, iBooks on mac, Safari web browser with a new engine...

Disappointed. Was hoping they would make a MacOS X Lynx. They could call it just 'LynX'. But that probably has negative connotations re: Linux...

That aside, they're claiming Haswell's power consumption as a feature of their OS?

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I believe they own the Cougar and Lynx trademarks but haven't used them for some reason...

That was exactly what I thought when they started boasting how energy efficient it is...

To be honests I think Mavericks is kinda of a bad name, think Steve Jobs could've come up with a better name. He needs to be resurrected and rescue Apple from Tim Cook.

ON A 7 MONTH BREAK FROM THESE LTT FORUMS. WILL BE BACK ON NOVEMBER 5th.
