Okay, so here's my build so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/xzRtrH

I plan to add an R9 280 soon, but I have some questions:

-Would the CPU and GPU bottleneck?

     -Are there any compatibility issues?

-Does my mobo support the card?  (I think it does actually)

     -etc.

If you find something interesting (e.g. wrong, bottlenecking, there is a better component than what I have currently for around the same price, etc.) please tell me.

Oh and pcpartpicker does not list my CPU cooler, but I have a Hyper 212 EVO in case you were thinking to ask "Where's the CPU cooler?"

Thanks!  :D

EDIT:  TO CLARIFY - I have already built this rig.  I am adding a 280 in when I get it for Christmas, and I was wondering if this addition would arise any problems.

My life is consumed by CS:GO, even though I'm not exceptionally good at it.

Don't get an APU, instead get the Athlon 860k (same thing without the iGPU)

This build is better:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3 Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  ($65.18 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($160.12 @ Amazon)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 280X 3GB Video Card  ($208.98 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($49.99 @ Amazon)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)  ($99.98 @ OutletPC)
Total: $850.80
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

not a good idea to cfx 280. and you need 750+psu. better go for a better card, like 970 or 290x

unfortunately I do not have the money to upgrade anything besides the gpu.  Besides, it's already a good rig, adding the 280 will only increase performance, do I need to swap the cpu?

Everything is good to go. Just so you know, you can upgrade to an FM2+ CPU in the future because you mobo is FM2+.

yes, I made sure it was upgradeable when I got it but I'm satisfied with the apu for now.  Besides getting the dedicated gpu.  what would a better cpu do (sorry I'm still learning this stuff), just make thing in general faster? smoother? etc?

Everything should work hunky dorry but if i were you i'd bump up the PSU a bit just for future upgrading other then that the build looks fine.

But if you haven't already built it i'd recommend this instead.

what do you mean by "cfx 280"?  And when i put the card in on my parts list, the estimated max wattage was <400W.

sorry, but again, I'm broke.  The new gpu is a christmas present and I cannot afford to upgrade my rig further.  Besides, I'm satisfied with what I have, the 280 will bump gaming performance up a bunch, so I probably won't be upgrading for a while (or until next christmas).

sorry, I was thing you are going to crossfire the 280. nvm

yeah, no.  the 280 can't crossfire with the 5800K, right?

this build is ok, but with an APU i'd recommend an higher clocked RAM. at least 2100mhz, 2400mhz even better. trust the difference in terms of fps is huge

yes I know that but I can't afford to upgrade RAM.  Also I'm getting a dedicated gpu - now THAT'S a difference in fps.  Besides faster RAM only benifits the gpu part of the apu... right?
