Netflix on XBMCbuntu

I've been looking all over the internet for the past 2 hours looking for an app to watch netflix on XBMCbuntu. I am new to the os and am testing it out on an older laptop before building a media pc for my tv. I can't find anything but 2 year old methods that no longer work to get a netflix app. Any help would be appreciated!

I dont believe there is an app/addon that actually stays in xbmc/kodi (as far as Ive researched) but supposedly netflix is now supported on chrome without spoofing the browser, so the netflixbmc addon will open chrome and navigate you to the netflix website.

 

I personally am not a fan of xbmcbuntu, Ive had several issues on my htpc with it after updating.... (oh... 2-3 months ago) crashing when shutting down using the power button on the remote. And sometimes at the stream selection window. I attempted to kill all processes once instead of forcing a shutdown and then I couldnt log in, it would be at the bash prompt i believe. I ended up installing all sorts of packages to get it going again and it ended up being pretty much ubuntu, so i said eff it, and installed ubuntu desktop, and i have xbmc loading on startup, and I could properly configure my remote from the get-go. and i much prefer the gnome 3 shell over what xbmcbuntu comes with.
