So I'm going to be doing a build in an R4 there will be a GTX 780 of some description (possibly MSI Gaming, possibly Windforce.. Still trying to decide.) and a 4770K in it. The CPU will be cooled by a H100i, which will also act as exhaust at the top. I intend to buy 3x140mm noctua fans. (2x120mm for the H100i).

Now you have the background, my question: One of the 140mm fans will be at the rear position at an intake, and connected to corsair link, being controlled by that. The other two however, I'd like advice on the positioning of, should I position one at the front, one at the bottom, or both at the front? (This is to be silence optimized, so I will want to be running the fans at as low V as possible.)

Cheers.

One at front and one at bottom.

Lower fan placement = cooler air

Just remember, no carpet and get some dust filters.

I shall place it on my desk and the case comes with a good filter! Thanks for the help! :)

You're welcome. :)

Two at the front wouldn't make much of a different, but in the case (pun intended) of bottom vs front, bottom has slightly better sound dampening qualities imo.

Why would u place ur 140mm fan in the back because you need a place to dissipate the heat from your computer.
