Try  hackingtoshing it, OSX can be a little more user friendly if you want it to be. Also the fancy case and OSX will make her think that it's much more expensive than it actually is, this will make her your favorite grandson :D

Whats the cheapest, most reliable build for my dear old grandmother? Tanks :D All she will be doing is web-browsing and sending emails. Few videos nothing much she's a simple old lady.

But seriously, almost anything can do that. Sempron 2650 + good AM1 board + 4GB RAM + 64GB SSD would be good.
