SoM causing my pc problems

Go to solution Solved by iRevo,

Black screen computer freezing usually = memory OC too high on the GPU, or not enough power for that memory clock.

Artifacts = GPU core is OC too high.

thanks!! i changed my memory clock speed and so far it hasnt crashed yet.

So, sometimes when i am playing Shadow Of Mordor, my pc just crashes and the screen goes black and says the monitor is going to sleep while the gpu fan goes up to about 100%. and i have to force power off my pc to turn it on . Is this due to me overclocking my gpu ? I am using an Asus GTX650 OC

CPU: Intel i7-3770  RAM : G-Skill Ares 2x8gb 1600 GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Edition

Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V LX PSU: Antec High Current Gamer 620W Case: CM Storm Enforcer
