Not sure where to put this.

I want a very simple excel document where I have a drop down box where I select the month and it populates a table below the drop down with w/e I spent that month (ofc i fill this in daily)

Also want this to be able to update a CURRENT BALANCE field next to the table dynamically with my current balance.

Basically select January, table changes to jan, select feb changes to feb etc

You need a sheet with a table that has input and then next to it or on another sheet you create a pivot table: It will automatically summarize everything for you and divide and/or filter by month.

Whatever you add to the input table will refresh on the pivot table, very simple.

EDIT: LOL you don't need a shit you need a sheet, sorry about that

Thank pivot table worked.

Another thing, I want to just keep the "input" table on another sheet and do everything from the sheet with the pivot table on...

Is there anyway to add information to the input table from another sheet by just filling in a row and hitting enter or something?

Like

Input location here: cost, type etc

Automaticlly update the table on another sheet
