tried the autoconfig fix?

I did nothing to the config for ages, my performance just MAGICALLY went down :(

 

PS What is the autoconfig fix?

I assume you know how to backup your cfg folder and what does what so I'll just say to do that, delete the folder then put "-autoconfig" in the launch options. This configures the game to run like a fresh install without any cloud settings. If it worked then you know the problem is in your config - Valve have been known to break console commands and not say a word about it. Hell, valve have broken entire leagues by breaking demos half way through seasons.

 

FYI- That fix works for EVERY source game.
