people dont realise that any open world game like that is harder to run than any call of duty or linear game wheter its assassins creed, watchdogs or gta those are demanding games because they are open world games with lots of details and stuff going on at once...

you cant get an heavy game like that to run as well as call of duty regardless of how much time you spend optimising it and theres always gonna be more bug, its normal.

I do realize that. It doesn't change the fact that this game is a disaster. It's nothing special graphics/features-wise yet still a unnecessarily demanding one. Ubi's attitude only makes the whole thing worse.

A game like this struggling with 980s in SLI is not normal. Nobody said it should run like cod. It's apparently a bug-fest too...

Just Cause 2 runs great on a wide range of hardware as does Skyrim and Sleeping Dogs and far Cry2. All open world games.

very true. its the lack of optimization that is killing ubisoft games.

when shadows, or lighting effects are reacting with millions of polygons at once because the devs don't have time to make the lighting effects only react to triangles that are assigned a specific number/name, slideshows ensue.

that might be somewhat true, but when you make something you make it functional to the people that use that thing. take open world games like the new infamous which looks amazing and runs stable.  i have 2 r9 290's in crossfire and barely get over 35fps in medium settings 1080p with dips in the teens at times, hell even with everything turned all the way down to low i still don't sustain 60fps, i can't imaging how people with mid tear gpu's like a 750ti -r9 270x must feel.  I would not call that functional.  Even on consoles it dips in the teens often and barely gets to 30fps.

Add to the fact that Far Cry 2 was a better looking more advance game from a graphical and physics perspective compared to FC3 ... UBI is full of shit !

no I beleive nvidia pays ubisoft but you are correct the game is shit on everything the next gen consoles strive to get 20fps but turning off the internet will double your fps on pc and ps4

I never really liked Ass Creed since after the first one it got stale to me. Lets hope that the mother of all games GTA V is going to be optimized for PC for a change like they claim.

What do you mean ? Please elaborate .

just referring to my own pun. "making me cry" -- "far cry"

it's almost making me cry because its such a step backwards.

Yes, it runs like shit on Intel, Nvidia, and AMD; yet Ubisoft JUST calls out AMD.

Yeah ubisoft are in bed with nvidia and received a ton of money from them , i hope nvidia enjoyed investing on assasins creed unity it turned out to be an amazing game /s

When pc gamer with 2 highest end gpu and cant play the game at stable 60fps already show the lack of optimization.

compare to console who spent 1 out of 6th the money and play 25-30fps.

ubisoft need to stop talking and work.

Yeah to be honest i would get a console if games werent so damn expensive.

I upgraded my old pc and spent about 250 bucks(270x and 4b of ram) instead of buying a console and there are a lot of games

that i can do 60 fps maxed out and consoles cant ( shadow of mordor , thief , alien isolation ) but since my system is kinda average

and cant brute force poorly optimized games that well on crap pc ports the console version is a better experience.

Its a crapshoot these days honestly and at the end of the game there are tons of games to play and i refuse to buy games that arent well optimized , plenty of stuff to keep me busy.
