GPU Artifact?

Go to solution Solved by xAcid9,

Try lower your mem clock.

This is what's happening, very rarely. I should add that this normally goes away after a bit, but sometimes requires me to shutdown my PC.

Here are my settings

Also black lines randomly pop up on my second monitor pretty often, and they do the same on my main one but much less often. Is this GPU artifacting? Should I adjust my clocks? Thanks guys.

Doing anything serious? I open F@H and playing CS GO at the same time, not a good idea. Had a bunch of wiggly lines and stuff.

Nope, always happens when I'm just browsing the web. Mostly when I put YouTube videos into fullscreen.

Just happened again, but this time it was black with a few lines, then both screens shut off and turned back on. Weird.

It may not be a driver, but rather a sign that it's dying. Thankfully it probably could be fixed by a reflow if it does.

I don't think that's it (I hope not) as I just got this card at the beginning of October.

Try lower your mem clock.

That seems to work. Lowered it to stock and haven't noticed the lines since. Thank you!

Oh it was OCed? Well that should have been obvious to turn an OC off before frying to diagnose that!

Lol

Well that IS what happens when your mem clock is too high.

Glad it wasn't your card dying.

I was guessing that the OC was the issue, but I didn't want to lose the performance I was getting so I wanted to see if it could be something else first. Guess I should've just checked that. Sorry.

Oh it's alright. Now you know to turn an OC off before diagnosing an issue xD

I mean, as long as you write down your settings, you can just re-enable it.
