Basically what TacoSniper said, and maybe see if a headset is cheaper for black friday/cyber monday?

I recommend the Logitech G230s. They sound great at your price range, and for the mic you can just bump up the sample rate and it will sound near crystal-clear.

Superlux HD668b or HD681 Evo + Zalman ZM-MIC1 combo will beat any headset in the $50 price range.
