A Question About Powerline

Go to solution Solved by Blade of Grass,

You should be able to. AP, PowerLine and ethernet are all just mediums of connection, as long as all the devices are on the same network, they should be able to communicate no problem.

I'm going to get a powerline kit and a wireless router (that I'll use as an AP) to get better wireless signal on some dead spots in my apartment, which is small but the walls are rather thick and the wireless signal needs to go through a lot of them to get to some places. I have a question though. Will I be able to communicate with device across the powerline? For example, if I connect my Raspberry Pi which serves as a small file server and as a printer server to the AP that is connected to the PL will I be able to access it on a computer that is connected to the router that has the original ISP signal? This won't affect my buying decision but it's something I'd like to know.

Thanks!
