Making your own fan filters.

Anyone ever make their own fan filters? My case(Phantom 410) does not have any fan filters and dust builds up inside. I tried making my own with a wire mesh, but it let lots of dust through. 

Any ideas on what could be used to filter air?

 

My fan configuration is positive(kinda):

 

Intakes: 3 120mm fans, 1 140mm fan

Exhaust: 2 140mm fans 1 120mm fan

I've heard of people using pantyhoses as filters, not sure how you would make a frame for them though

I have done it (don't use it any more) you can just use an elastic band to rap it around the fan. They worked pretty good for me.

this is what i did. and cost me less than $2. it is an air-conditioner external filter. basically it's like a flatten cotton pad but thinner and the fiber does not disintegrate and get suck into the case. that scotch tape is not an elegant solution to hold it in place,maybe you can try using magnetic strips instead.

ive seen tights used cut t size and stretched over as glued. however if you look on ebay you can find some cheap fan filters that you can simple screw in between the fan and case.
