Hello Linus forums!

So my cooling setup is 2 exhaust fans directed through my H100i and out the top of the case and 3 intake fans; 2 front, 1 back.

I use Fan Xpert 2 and have noticed that the CPU fans (exhaust) run, at a considerably lower RPM than the case fans (intake). In idle they will be about 260 rpm compared to intake fans being 600-650 rpm.

My question now is; should I adjust speed to be more proportionate to each other, or is the fact that the 2 CPU/Exhaust fans run slower than my 3 intake fans not a going to be a potential problem? I haven't had a problem with heat so far, but you never know.

First of all the back fan should be exhaust.Case fans usually monitor chipset heat so they run a lil higher when cpu cooling runs according to the cpu temps. There's nothing wrong with the way the run now.Sadly i can't help you anymore since i never used fan expert.

Any specific reason the back fan should be exhaust? Because it has fine air access and what not, if you were thinking it was standing up against the wall.

You have 3 intake and 2 exhaust on a rad(so less airflow). You don't want to create pressure inside the case where there's no need.If you want to make a better airflow mount one of the front fans on the bottom of the case so it will blow some cool air on the gpu

I already removed most of the hard drive cage for better airflow to the GPU, but I see your point!

I thought one would want a slight positive pressure in the case (according to Linus video on case positive/negative pressure), so isn't 3 intake and 2 exhaust good?

It is but the airflow on the rad is low due to the density of the rad and the fact that the rest of the fans spin faster most of the air will be forced outside. If you create pressure inside you will kill any kind of airflow
