Smallest full-ATX case?

Go to solution Solved by imthewalrus,

what is a dremmel? i am no native speaker, so i don't know what it is ...

and i am pretty good manually, for example i build my own bass

The prodigy originally fits micro atx motherboards which have 4 expansion slots (or fit 2 graphics cards). Atx motherboards have 7 or more expansion slots and are too big for the prodigy. However if you are handy with tools (Such as a dremmel which is used to cut metal) and are creative there are actually ways in which people fix the prodigy and mount an atx motherboard in the prodigy but it is really complicated.

Take a look at this thread:

Hey guys!

I won a giftcode from amazon, and want to spend it on a new case, cause mine is really bad (some 40$ case).

I really like a small sized case, that still supports a full ATX motherboard (gigabyte h87-hd3).

I hope you can help me.

I got no prizetag.

Greetings

Prime ;:)

NZXT S340 is pretty small for an ATX, although I don't know if that's what you mean by "Full ATX" although it will fit an ATX motherboard.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

the silverstone grandia gd09 is the smallest ATX case available on the sub $100 level. If you are into modding the Bitfenix prodigy can easily fit an ATX motherboard but you will need to change a lot of things including I/o and orientation of the case.

Again the BitFenix does not fit ATX motherboards unless you completely mod it and that requires the expert use of a dremmel, it does have space for a gtx 770. The Grandia on the other side will fit most graphics cards from stock settings,

Here is a review of the grandia, there is unfortunately no videos

You will however need another case you can get the back panel from to use as the back panel inside the prodigy. Look at the thread I attached and you will see what they did.

yeah, thanks for this. Luckily i already have a very cheap case atm, which looks just boring (a 30$ bitfenix case -  for the price the build quality is really good.
