Y U NO WORK JC2:MP?

I bought Just Cause 2 on a good sale from steam, and it comes, like always, with the multiplayer mod. Just Cause 2 single player works perfectly fine, but when i try to load up JC2:MP, it shows the message that steam is loading the game, but no game pops up, no window, no nothing. Just a window that says something along the lines of 'the JC2:MP launcher has stopped responding'. It doesn't even bring the window up into focus, it minimizes itself automatically and it's annoying as all hell. I was really looking forward to playing the multiplayer. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Uh this is a fan project so I would expect at times there being difficulties using it.

have you tried verifying game integrity? reinstalling? What about your Antivirus? My AVG usually needs confirmation that JC2:MP Can have Internet Access

I tried viewing the integrity, deleting a recomended file so that it would redownload it again, reistalling it and still nothing works.

Edit: I thought it may have been because I am running DX9, and it needs DX10, but JC2:SP needs DX10 also, but runs just fine

have you run JC2 at least once? verifying JC2 cache? remove any mods you use?

 

Are you able to run JC2 single player from Steam? Does running it at-least once before running the mod help?

Usual steps apply: Restart Steam after completing the above step. Failing that, try a system restart.

Haven't used any mods, ran it multiple times, verified the game cache
