Hello. I recently bought a SanDIsk Cruzer Blade 16GB online. At first it worked fine but yesterday, I was supposed to hold a presentation but when I added my PowerPoint presentation, it says it can't continue to move the file because the Flash drive is write-protected. So I did some research and realized that there were also similar cases that happened to other people who bought the same flash drive.

One of the websites I found recommended to format the flash drive, and so I did. And it said it again, Windows cannot continue the process because the Flash drive is write-protected

I tried to use AOMEI Partition Assistant. At first it was successfully detected and so I tried to format it again. It said it cannot continue because it found bad sectors in the drive. It told me to run CheckDisk on the drive but it just stops responding so I was forced to turn off my computer and turn it on again. And this time it went bad, really bad.

The drive wasn't detected. AOMEI Partition Assistant didn't list the flash drive. Windows Disk Management detected it but all options were grayed out and listed it as Read-Only. Windows didn't list the flash drive in My Computer.

Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

contact SanDisk and request for RMA ticket

there is no point trying to fix bad sectors on a thumbdrive

The problem is I didn't buy it directly from SanDisk. I bought it from an online shopping mall. And in order for me to get a replacement, the original packaging must be in the same condition at it was delivered, and there should be no data inside.

The problem is:

1. I already threw the original packaging away.

2. There is data inside because I already used it before it became write-protected.

See it here. http://www.lazada.com.ph/returns/

The reason I bought this from an online shopping mall is because I'm currently staying in the Philippines for a business trip.

you can try contacting SanDisk Philippines office and explain the problem to them

if you have the proof of purchase aka the receipt, you might still have a chance to replace

I have already tried that. They told me to contact the online shopping mall and tell them what happened. I called them and they refused to accept it because the original packaging is already gone.
