Amd or intel cpu?

Best one for the price and performance?

I heard the amd fx-6300 is a good chip for its price? Are there any cpus thats better but still a decent cost?

Also i will be running a gtx 970 so chose one that wont get bottle necked :)

Mostly will be using for gaming and multitasking.

What is your budget? Location? and do you need monitor, OS, peripherals?  Able to reuse anything from an old build?

An i5 is the best all-around gaming processor.  An FX processor, is going to bottleneck a 970.  Regardless how overclocked.  Don't plan out your build budgeting component by component, budget the build as a whole.

Yea there is going to be a CPU bottleneck.  The FX-8350 bottlenecks the 780ti (i watch a video about it) the i5 4670 doent bottleneck. im not sure what CPU it best in that price range but yea...

Like I stated above (which wasn't replied to for some reason), it really depends on what you're doing. If you're mostly gaming then no debate that i5 is the way to go. However if you do a lot of things that can use more cores like content creation, then an FX8 could benefit you.
