simple one

how hot should a 4790k run and how hot should a msi gtx 970 run in this build - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/FhcN23

cheers

Far too many variables at play to be able to give you a definitive answer.  It depends on your ambient temperature, what your overclock settings are, what program is being run, etc..

Also, might I recommend switching PSUs?  For only a few quid more, you can have a much better PSU that will last you 10 years.

EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W.  All japanese capacitors, primary and secondary.  All black cables, no-fan-spin feature, 10 year warranty, EVGA's legendary customer service.  Also, if you ever decide to go SLI, you already have a powerful enough PSU.
