Hi I have almost no wifi coverage on the top floor of my house. I was thinking of getting a router upstairs as I have a adsl port in my room I can't move the router downstairs upstairs any router suggestions it can't be too expensive as I'll use ethernet on 2 devices. Any suggestions???

You can get a Netgear WNR3000 v3 and use it as a wireless repeater. Not sure if you need an ethernet cable though.

If you have a port in your room that is live and not being utilized you can use it to hook up a wireless access point.  It is best practice when compared to repeaters or powerline.  If you have an old router you can convert it to an access point to save some money.
