Hello everyone, I recently installed a Sound Blaster X-fi titanium sound card. Whenever I plug the mic from my headphones in the rear panel nothing gets picked up. But if i plug it into the front it works fine. I have the hd audio cable plugged into it if that matters. If anybody can tell me how to get it working in the rear it would be appreciated. :)

Is the microphone plug(in the back) set as active in Recording Devices?

Right click on the speaker in the right hand corner(if you've hidden it, please bring it up)

Click on the Recording Devices option.

And then find the appropriate plug you're looking for(in this case, the appropriate microphone plug)

Also, make sure the volume is turned up on the mic too and that it's plugged in all the way.

Can you unplug it and plug it back in? Also, the port on the back may be dead - emphasis on may. Could be a simple issue.
