I hope this is this is the right forum for this post.

My current mobile plan is up and I'm looking for a new tariff whichII'm leaning towards a sim only plan. My current plan i use between 1-2GB a month on 3G, but my new phone can handle 4G. Although 4G if not in my area for a couple more month's, faster load times apppeal to me as I browse a lot.

So I was thinking of getting a tarriff with 3GB of data a month, but a sales person in O2 yesterday said I should opt for more as it uses more data, but I can't see how is he just giving me some spiel?

I've done a bit of searching with some saying its a myth and some say there usage has gone up. Anyone know the truth or had first hand experience with this upgrading there phone/tarriff or havibg 4g recently installed to your area.?

Thought so

4G is certainly much-much better than 3G, and it uses the same amount of data. 3Gb per month is more than enough for casual browsing and even watching a video on YouTube every now and then.

Yeah I think it will be fine too, just the salesperson trying to sell me something I dont need.
