  1. Thx for your help don't need your sarcasm, as said they can run off the MB
  2. This one does have a power connector - I'll try that. As for the bios I'm not 100% sure of what i should be looking for if something is disabled. Ill try a different PCI lane as well. Back in a few.
  3. Its currently connected to the motherboard, bu when i connect it to the 750ti its a black screen, same if i connected it from a a boot up.
  4. Yes you did. I have read the same venomz has said.
  5. Sorry forgot to state that - yes they do
  6. Hi i have just recently bought a cheap second hand Asus 750Ti, to which I installed it straight into the PCIe x 16 slot without and wires to the power supply as it doesn't need it apparently. Until now I have been running off the intel 4600 GPU, now for some reason i cant get it my system to notice it the card or install drivers for it. If i move the HDMI over its just a black screen. What should i do? Edit1 - I have also gone into BIOS looking for a display change setting but cannot find one.
  7. Yeah valid reason's if it were mine i would be the same as i like aesthetics, but this is for the youngest unless the tides change and i get swayed towards getting the Nvidia. From what i have seen the Nvidia does look kind of premium too.
  8. Why wouldn't you go for a non nexus if you mind me asking?
  9. The shield portable never appealed to me, please stay on topic please. Ideally i would like to get one of these ordered today.
  10. I agree it just tempted me because of the power so i could play, MK X and immortals on it but the one plus one does this apart from Call of champions which cries out for a bigger screen. Plus I've always been partial to Trine and some other occasional Pc games. Maybe I'm being greedy.
  11. Apologies for starting a new thread similar to so many before, however i cant find a thread from recent times that fits my needs. Christmas is coming and in true style I've left a couple of gifts to the last minute. Thinking i would be OK with knowing whats best to buy these days (tech wise), I'm sitting on on these fence with a couple of tablets to buy for my 7 year old, which means i could do with the experience and knowledge from people here. My original budget was £80 (maybe stretch to an extra £20) for an Android based tablet, the tablet is for her but i have gotten into a couple of demanding app games myself like call of champions (which is demanding CPU/graphics wise) so when she goes sleep i may play a little but in general i use my Oneplus one for this stuff. So far i have found the following tablets intriguing... Asus Memo pad 7 ME176Cx @ £80 Asus Zenpad (the Z380C and 7 Z170C versions) both around £100 mark LG G pad 7 (V400) @ around £100 But this is where it goes pear shaped for the sake of an extra few £££'s i can get the google nexus 7 @ £120 which appears soo much more than the above spec wise plus lots of positive reviews. Here is where I'm getting out of control because for another £20-30 on top of that @ £150 i stumbled across the Nvidia shield K1 which to me looks pretty darn good spec wise, plus you can play some PC games on it like Trine (nice). But in all honesty will i use the tablet much? If it was the first 4 i mentioned i wouldn't even touch them, the tablet is just for her, but the Nvidia i envisage me prizing it from her little hands Christmas morning. Is there any good devices i have missed out? Is the Google nexus that much better than the LG and Asus's for the criteria i listed below? If the Google 7 is that much better, should i just go the whole hog and get the Nvidia? Try keep me on track with my spending, as you can see i coule well be out of control. You can say why not get 2 tablets? 1 is enough in my house thank you. Criteria? watching you-tube videos and and a few app store games like temple run. Camera's no of great importance but a half decent front facing for Skype would come in handy, any other fan dangled stuff i don't care about,
  12. I say get a Nikon 3200, although it's not on your list but it has been mentioned. My reasons are its a great for beginner's, lots of mega pixels too so you can crop heavier. Only 9 focus point's tho, which suits me as when your up against time, I'm sure finding 9 points will be quicker than 30+. Go on get it, you won't be disappointed.
  13. I have the previous model of the 3300 (the 3200) and i love it, great entry level camera. I would recommend you add the 3200 to your shopping list as it's basically the same as the 3300 which has a few minor changes, (a different kit lens, the ability to to take panoramic shots and a Couple of other things). Which impacts on the higher price of the 3300. So if money is tight get the 3200 with a 50mm 1.8 lens for portraits, I personally find the 35mm 1.8 to wide, but that's not to say its a great lens. Cash saved getting the 3200 will help pay for a macro lens too or more importantly a tripod, which will help your photography no end. I can't say which lens for macro as I never delved into it. From what I have read and the video's I have i seen, it's far too finicky and you need lots of patience.
  14. I've created a slide show of a christening I shot a few weeks ago, and felt it's lacking something. So I wanna add 3-4 songs, I copied some songs from CD on to my pooter. But I tried to upload them to Light room (CC) through the slideshow, but the files won't be re recognized. So I can't upload them, I can change a setting in LR to show all files but it doesn't still doesn't show up. I done a bit of reading up on the net, but I'm still unsure what to do. Anyone familiar with this, and could guide me in the right direction? I have windows 7 64-bit if that helps.
