I am building a gaming rig, and I need a monitor. I really love the ultra wide LG's but I can't afford a $1000+ monitor. So is the 25" one worth the $300?

Thanks

It's not the exact same model, but the 25UM64 (without the S) is available at Frys for $199+tax. Not sure if that makes it more or less appealing.

Also, I am in agreement with Toddwjp; at the $300 price point, a 14ms response time is significantly low (I don't know if it's statistically significant though).

I'm assuming the aspect ratio of this monitor is what caught your eye. Would you be against buying 16:9 monitors?

No I wouldn't be against 16 by 9. But I like the idea of being able to use it as two monitors in one. Also with games I'd imagine it would be pretty cool to not have and bessle.
