Hi Guys,

I'm a 1st time builder so a total noob basically. I got myself a ROG Maximus V Formula Motherboard and stuck now in configuring my HDD.

My initial plan was to have my 2 Corsair Neutron GTX 240Gb SSD - Raid 0, and 4 WD Black 2Tb - Raid 10

Problem is when i go into the bios utility to configure the Raid, I can only see 4 drive (suppose to see all 6 include the SSD). So my question is, does the Maximus V Formula support such configuration? It seems that only 4 SATA port support Raid and the other 4 doesn't.

Need some advise here. Thanks in advance :)

Cheers

you have 8 sata ports. only the 6 from intel support raid. use the Sata3 ports for the ssds and die 4 sata2 ports for your hdds. schould be no problem.

Edit.: meh i just looked that up...they only used 4 sata ports form intel, die other 4 are Asmedia...so you are boned...
