I dont mind spending the money to get the i7 but and i know i5 is probably fine but i want to know is it better to go with the i7 if i really want to be set for the next 5 years-ish?

I know theres no such thing as future proofing, but that doesnt mean i shouldnt try to be prepared.

Here is my current set up Minus the processor:

Corsair H55 liquid cooler

MSI Z97 gaming 5 motherboard

G.Skill Ripjaw X 16gb 1866

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1tb 7200 HDD

MSI Geforce Gtx 970 Gaming Edition

Raidmax Seiran Blue/White Case

Raidmax Vampire 700W 80+ Gold PSU

Alright i dont mind switching to like an EVGA or something for the PSU do you have a suggestion for the cooler?

To be honest a Hyper 212 EVO is all you really need on these devil's canyons (I can attest).

And a EVGA SuperNova EX650 (something like that) is a very good PSU and is generally not too expensive.
