Mini Case help needed!

Okay, guys!

I need the smallest case possible, but it has to fit at LEAST a GTX 970 (probably the MSI G1 gamig version, or the Asus STRIX) and it MUST have a window, cause, you know. Computers are pretty.

So far, I'm considering a Corsair Carbide AIR 240 case.

Is it good? Any opinions or recommendations? Any advice on what parts to use?

I plan to use a 1080p 144Hz monitor.

Thanks in advance :)

Carbide air is very poor build quality and not really mini.

I would either get a node 304 or the corsair 250d for long gpus in a fairly small case. Both also support decent heights which the air 240 definitely does not. You can't go higher than a reference card and even with that the power connectors will tocuh the window on the 240.

I have a Coolermaster Elite 130, and while it doesn't have a window it would be quite easy to mod one in.

Good build quality, excellent use of space and it can fit an H55 in the front as well as a big graphics card.

If you go for a shorter version like the zotac 970 you could even get away with using the elite 110 or if you want something to show off the jonsbo u2.

I like the Corsair 250D the best so far, because it has windows.

What would you guys recommend for the parts and such?

I have a budget of anything under $2000. Planning to play on 1080p 144Hz monitor.

Thanks :)

Do you only play games or what else do you want to do? Do you want to overclock? Any color scheme? Water or air cooling preferred?

Any brands that you really want?

This rig will be used for a lot of gaming, maybe some light video and photo editing. I don't really plan to overclock unless I have to, I don't really mind what brands, although I'd much rather have a Nvidia card instead of an AMD one, simply because of shadowplay, and the green colour scheme on the Nvidia cards. I don't mind water or air cooling, whatever you think is needed. I don't need it to be super quiet, either, since I'm going to be using headphones.

Silverstone SG09/SG10, it's a squeeze but I had 2 3.5"HDD, 2 SSDs and a full size graphics card which ran cooler than my enthoo pro.

Very air optimised and you can fit a full sized CPU cooler in it as well as sli blower type GPUs, good option if your not going to play around with the hardware often.

A bit dated on looks though and no windowed version. LEDs look good behind the fans though

They are so expensive but VERY nice.
