Coretemp not displaying CPU temp

Hi guys i ran into something weird , i recently Oc'ed My AMD Phenom ii x4 965 too 3.6ghz ( only 200mhz more than standard because my cpu dosent like any more than that) but the wierd thing is , according to coretemp my cpu is running at 0 degrees C

Is there an option in the BIOS that enables the CPU to be "unlocked"? that was my problem before with my Phenom II. Once i disabled that functionality, the CPU temp was readable again.

How much have you played around with the BIOS?

all i have done in the bios is OC my CPU by 300mhz

i had to unlock it in the Bios , i have a AMD phenom ii x4 965 BE

Do you have any other CPUs laying around that'll fit in the AM3 socket? Also, someone on overclock.net suggests disabling Advanced Clock Calibration.

That stinks. Could you reason with him that it'll only be used for testing purposes and that you'll put everything back the way it was?

This is a known issue try disabling AMD Cool and Quiet in the bios that might get it to work. I can't see it on mine either something to do with the overclocked settings does your board have a one click overclocker?
