Hey there guys, first off this is my first time posting to the forums, so i'm sorry if i put somthing in the wrong hole or whatnot.

I'm going to be building my first gaming PC within the month in time for GTA V, but I thought i better get a second opinion on the parts and stuffs before hand.
I have around $1,200NZD to spend ($930.22USD) and am hoping to play most games at medium to high at 1080p, or 1600x900, doesn't bother me TOO much, although moar pixles moar fun am I right?
So i'll link the pcpartpicker page - http://nz.pcpartpicker.com/p/P964Jx

Also, i'm not sure if i NEED an aftermarket cooler for my CPU? I don't think i can overclock that cpu so would it be necessary? also, I'm looking for advice on the psu and case.
Any advice or recommendations welcome.

Chears

Harry

Forgot to mention that i'm in New Zealand, so my options are kind of limited here. My mate owns a hardware store so i'll be paying a tad less than retail.

so far for the psu that one should be fine. I tried looking for my own personal <3 on selected cheaper psu but it's not there on the pc part picker you're using (country).

Live your life like a dream.

while that does look like one of the better options, most of those parts aren't available in my country (New Zealand) and paying for shipping is risky and bumps it way over my budget

Okay so 8GB is best, processor is something I'd gun for myself with this price point and your country's pricing. I swapped the SSD for one more trusted as Crucial didn't switch from Synchronous to A-Syncronous NAND. It's a bit more color matched and most important of all it has a GTX 770 all for about the same price as your original build. Everything else is balanced enough. Probably could do better with a Intel AMD build though.

Awesome! I'd feel alot happier with the 770 now i think about it. What about a cpu cooler? Just use the stock one?

Stock is perfectly fine on a budget, please keep in mind that the processor is not only locked but the chipset I picked out on the motherboard also keeps everything locked even with k models. If you want to overclock using the multiplier you'll need a k series processor and the Z97 not H97 chipset. Also here's an evermore color matched build for less with similar performance on a r9 280x. Also be aware of the differences in power (in watts and heat output) that AMD and Nvidia cards have and their various technologies. If you need more there's a techquickie on that.

Opps, just saw the bottom line haha. Right, so in conclusion, This is the setup i'm going to go and buy next week, and it should be able to handle new releases on medium to high.

Better than you might expect, be mindful games like Metro Last Light and Crysis 3 are kind of FPS killers, then again Linus is running them maxed on 1080p, and you're just asking for med-high on 1080p.

Thank's I love it how appreciated I feel, best feeling ever. Anyways if I don't give back my knowledge it would've been pointless, from a humanist perspective, to learn it at all. ^_^

Oh mayun this is exciting, i'm going to have all the frames c: I know this is an strange question, but do you think this card would run Fallout 3 in 4K with some ENB mods installed? If you have no idea, thats fine c:

Depending on the exact settings, yes, but it might be dodgy with the FPS depending on the exact nature of the Mod, I've played Fallout 3 and New Vegas and can say 4k is no problem, however mods make quite the difference depending on what they do. By the way, totally not strange, a lot of people want specific knowledge on the kind of frames they'd get.

Gonna go ahead an warn you right here that I've got to leave immediately. I'll help you some more if you need it later, hopefully other forum members can get your back.
