Good Cheap SSD

Go to solution Solved by Real_PhillBert,

Alright, you guys convinced me. I'll order a MX100 and call it a day.

Thanks for the comments.

So a couple of us in my office have been complaining about our PC's booting up crazy slow lately. So I looked and I am only using 70GB of the HDD in it now.

I am thinking about mirroring the HDD onto an SSD.

The problem is I doubt they will let me expense the SSD, so I am thinking cheap.

How does the Kingston SSDNow V300 compare to the Corsair Force LS drives?

Any other inexpensive drives I should consider?

Don't look further than the Crucial MX100. It's the best SSD to get outside of an 850 pro IMHO, it's got great reliability, the read speeds are top notch and write speeds are good as well.

Crucial and Sandisk are the go-to manufactuers for the best price to performance SSDs since they are OEM for their flash memory. Kingston, especially the V300 series, are not OEM and have been underfire for downgrading the flash memory in the V300 series to cheaper memory while keeping the same model number and prices. Avoid Kingston.
