ssd: isnt important, but i think he'd like it

harddrive: 1tb

psu: 500-600w

now do ya thing

290 performs better then a GTX 770 at 1080, and costs less.

I was thinking a 270/280/x, my 270x runs awesome at 1080

In the future as games become more graphically demanding, a 290+i3 will last longer then a 280+locked i5, but if you wish, here you go

Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Newegg)

It's $700 not counting mail in rebates, since I usually don't count those in my build plans for non-techy situations.

If you're willing to do the mail in rebates though then the extra money could be put towards a better mobo and PSU for the ability to add a second 280/280X/7950/7970 later on.
