Video inputs

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

I just finish building my PC a month ago and my monitor only has a VGA and DVI ports. My Graphics card, an R9 270X, has display port, DVI, and HDMI. If I use a display port connector with a VGA adapter or a Display port on one end and a VGA on the other end will I have the same benefits of display port or would would I still be at the VGA experience. Any help would be appreciated.

VGA is analog

DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort are digital

At 60Hz, which your monitor likely is if it only has VGA and DVI, all of the three digital connections will look and perform exactly the same. Only VGA stands out because it's analog. Just use a DVI to DVI cable or VGA to VGA cable from your graphics card to your monitor. Everybody prefers DVI over VGA, but in reality both work perfectly fine.
