It seem the speakers mentioned above have mixed reviews (http://tinyurl.com/olgog9c). Has any one had experiences with these speaker or recommended anything under 80$.

They're decent speakers. Mainly designed for gaming use so they sound quite muddy and loose when you want tighter sound quality (i.e. vocals in softer music). They do get loud without distorting too much though.

Do you have any other recommendations or do you think i should go ahead and order them.
