Network dropping connection constantly

My system specs are in my signature.

My adapter is an ASUS PCE N15, the drivers are up to date.

I live in an apartment comples, so I don't have any network admin permissions.

I have all the permissions nedded to access the network and internet, but not to make changes.

I am the only one experiencing this problem, everyone else I talked to (~8 people) are not having a single problem connecting through the network.

 

When I connect to the network it takes ~10 sec to connect, I then have 15 sec before i have to manually connect again, which lasts the same ~15 sec.

I have all drivers up to date, I did have win 8pro, but windows forced me to update to win 8.1pro, at which point i made sure all drivers were up to date.

When I connect the speeds I get is ~ 10% of the average speed for the first 3 connections, but every 4th connection I get the average speed.

 

This is my only acess to the internet at this point in time, I tried posting this to the forum dozens of times already, so if I don't reply quickly you know why.

reset all your network settings and try again. otherwise you have some sort of access problem with the router not liking you

Have you factory reset the router yet?

What ISP are you using?

reset all your network settings and try again. otherwise you have some sort of access problem with the router not liking you

 

 

I have no network admin permissions, so I am not allowed to reset any router, as for the network type used is simmilar to a school where it is all from the server whickh acts like the router and switch, as for shutting down the whole thing is just not doable according to management.

 

as for ISP it is some small Idaho only company called "Always On". the problem started spreading to other computers so The router must just hate us. thanks for the help, though.

no go to windows network and sharing centre, delete all profiles and restart you computer

Try going to your router's web page by typing in your ip address. Once you're there, try setting computer's MAC address to a static ip. If that does nothing, try resetting the amount of devices that can be connected. If that doesn't do anything, set your router to a different channel (1 - 10 works best for me).

i have the same problem with my Asus n13 at the moment, i really do hope there is a solution for this annoying problem

Thanks though, but I can't change router settings, due to no admin permissions, i mentioned it several times already. but I would have tried that, if i could.

it started working a little better after that, allowing connection times of over five minutes, but thats about it, after adding a bigger antenna to my pc, it started working perfectly, so your answer helped, but an antenna was probably the solution.
