I'm looking at adding some intake fans to my old build that I will be giving my wife once my new one is built.

The case is an Antec 300 case and was wondering if I should go with the NF-F12 or a different one for intakes.  I've heard the static pressure would help with the drive cage being in the way of the intakes.

It is a lot but even the more expensive industrial fans arent expensive if you consider they have a 6year warranty. And they are so good you could just use the same fan for 6 years

Yeah but if you did get those, you wouldnt need to buy new ones for a long time, and paying 15$ now and 15$  in 2 years to be less quality fans isnt smarter

It all depends on how anal you are with sound. My corsair case fans have this ticking noise that i cant stand and i wouldnt mind getting noctuas that undervolt well and all that for 30euros if they last me 6 years, but thats just me

I have noctua standard 140 pressure optimized fans that run on full blast 24/7, and they are much quieter than my "airflow" optimized cougar 120's that run at full blast.

I plan on getting nothing but the 3000rpm fans sooner or later. Noise be damned.

Get the pressure optimized ones.

Agreed. Better airflow through dust filters and grills.

Dubs are better than subs

Bought 3 of the 2k rpm f12's to replace my old ones. Using them as intaks they cool better at their lowest speeds (500) then my olders ones did at 1200 rpm. They look better, longer cables and a lot of head room with rpm.

Didn't get the 3k rpm fans, don't thing my temps can get any lower sticking to air cooling. My temps don't change between running them at 1500 to 2000 rpm. Just something to think about. The 540 should have came with noctuas compared to all those dam corsair fans.

I guess I'm not dead set on the Noctuas but I know they are great silence/performance ratio fans. I'm open to other suggestions as well.

Get some noiseblockers, air penetrators or be quiet! Fans. They are all brilliant and I personally say the noiseblockers and AP's are on par with the noctua's.

That case has a really good airflow. It should be even better with noctua fans. As others suggest, the pressure optimized fans probably aren't a bad idea. Their "normal pressure" or whatever case fans would still work great as well.
