question r9 280x

okay my old pc used 2x 550 ti sli

 

new pc is using r9 280x sapphire

 

 

now my question is i dont see a performance difference in my games i feel like my 550tis where doing a better job in terms of fps

 

 

is there anyway of testing my card and seeing if its working right ?

I looked up online and it said that r9 280x sapphire was better than the gtx 550 ti by a lot. Check out these benchmarks:

maybe you got a defective card..? try fraps and see your fps and compare it to fps tests on review sites.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/541?vs=508 Considering that scaling on sli is not 100% and that a single 550Ti is less than half as fast as a r9 280x / 7970 you should get better performance with the new card.

Maybe sli 550 ti is the equivalent to one r9 280x? Unless you get another r9 280x you probably won't see that improvement in fps.
